A Jeweler’s saw you can print
-
Iteration 1
This design was a Mother’s Day gift. My mom is a jeweler and metal artist. The first design required cutting the blades to a certain length. It was also difficult to keep the blade aligned while tightening.

From design functional tool
Thorough testing went into the first print. I chose to use PETG plastic because it is quite durable, but also has some flexibility. This flex can be used to put the perfect amount of tension on the blade after installing.

Iteration 2 - Magnets & Improvements
All that was needed were quality of life upgrades. I added neodymium magnets to hold the blade in perfect placement during install, freeing your hand to squeeze the bow for extra tension while tightening the thumb studs. This design also fixed the need to cut the blades to length.
